Description
Coke. Original 1949 Coca Cola Company Standardization Bulletin insert on delivery truck styles and how to (adhering to company standards) paint each type of truck or salesman car. From day one, the company spent a great deal of time and money developing its identity. Every year, or as it thought necessary, the company would put out standardization bulletins covering how everything with the Coca-Cola name should look. The Coca-Cola logo & look needed to be the same on everything worldwide, including stationary, checks, uniforms and, of course, trucks. Trucks were and still are an important way for Coca-Cola to advertise. This is one of the original binder insert sheets from 1949. It is printed on firm glossy paper, almost like a thin cardboard feel. It is framed but remains perfectly intact just as it was in 1949 – only removable materials (clear mounting corners) have been used to mount/frame the sheet in order to keep it original and intact.
Displays great, and would make a great gift for a Coke collector or classic automobile enthusiast. This is US advertising history.
Frame itself measures about 15.5 x 12.5 inches. Bulletin Insert measures about 12 x 9.5 inches.
This listing is for the single item shown, but I do have five others - all different truck models and one salesman's car - so please see my other listings. Happy to combine multiples to save on shipping costs.
Apologies for photo glare. That is just the photos and is not on the print or glass. My camera isn't great. Looks even sharper in hand!
