    Description

    Two pounds of Wheat Pennies!
These pennies are from my own horde(?). I started collecting wheat pennies and it got out of hand. All of these pennies were bought over 35 years ago from all the usual sources, Coin Shows (remember those), Coin World ads, Coin Stores (!), and any place I could find them.
I think if I sold these to a dealer it might be called the Ammo Box Horde. I have moved these around with me for far too many years, and it is time to let someone else have them. I have not searched these coins, I must assume that somewhere along the line they were looked over, as I see fewer steel pennies then I expected. A quick handful shows the usual mix of 50's, and 40's, some in near mint state! All other date ranges seem to be there and lots of mint marks. These coins came from many different sources so each bag, ammo box or roll I open has a different feel.
The coins are being sold by weight. You will get two pounds of wheat pennies in a plastic bag. I counted the first two pound bag and it had 295 pennies in it. You should expect that many +/-. 295 pennies is more then the "book" number due to normal wear. I choose to sell them by weight because I do not have a counting machine, and I know if I count them out by hand, I will start looking at dates and condition. That would not be fair. The pennies you see in the pictures are what I am selling.
This would be a great way to get started in collecting.
